My name is Chris, and at 59 years old, I’ve decided it’s time for a change. For years, I put everything else first—work, sofa, junk food, TV—while my health slowly took a back seat. I wasn’t as active as I used to be, my weight crept up, and I started feeling the effects: low energy, joint pain, failing liver and a general sense that I wasn’t living life to the fullest. But I’ve realized something important—it’s never too late to take control of my health, and I’m determined to do just that.
I’ve committed myself to losing weight, exercising regularly, and making smarter choices when it comes to my well-being. This isn’t just about shedding pounds; it’s about feeling stronger, moving better, and improving my mental state as I get older. I want to be active, enjoy life, and stay independent for as long as possible.
My plan? A mix of walking, strength training, and healthier eating. I’ve swapped out processed foods for fresh, nutrient-rich meals and learned to listen to what my body truly needs. Exercise is no longer something I dread but something I embrace, knowing each step I take and each workout I complete brings me closer to the healthier, more vibrant version of myself.
There will be challenges along the way, but I’m ready for them. I remind myself daily that progress is progress, no matter how small. This is about more than just weight loss—it’s about reclaiming my health, my confidence, and my future.
I may be 59, but I’m just getting started. Feel invited to follow or observe my slow steps
